Writing Section

In the writing section, you will answer 12 questions to demonstrate how well you can write in English. There are three types of tasks.

Build a Sentence

Move the words in the boxes to create grammatical sentences.

A clock will show you how much time you have to complete this task.

Write an Email

You will read some information and use the information to write an email.

You will have 7 minutes to write the email.

You and your friend, John, are planning a trip to Europe this summer. You have done some research and found some interesting destinations and activities that you would like to include in your itinerary. You want to share your ideas with John and get his opinion.

Write an email to John. In your email, do the following:

• Describe the destinations you have researched.

• Explain why you think these destinations would be enjoyable.

• Ask for his opinion on the suggested itinerary and any additional ideas he might have.

Write as much as you can and in complete sentences.

Write for an Academic Discussion

Your professor is teaching a class on technology in education. Write a post responding to the professor's question.

We have been discussing the integration of technology in educational settings. Some educators believe that digital tools enhance student learning by providing interactive and engaging experiences. I believe that technology in education is beneficial for students. It provides interactive learning experiences that can make complex topics easier to understand. Additionally, digital tools can cater to various learning styles, making education more accessible.

In my opinion, excessive use of technology in the classroom can be harmful. It can distract students from their studies and reduce face-to-face interactions with teachers and peers. A balanced approach is necessary to ensure that technology enhances, rather than hinders, learning.
