Today I learned how to describe office culture and workplace environments. I learned expressions for giving approximate information (about, around, approximately, or so, more or less), phrases for introducing topics (regarding, addressing, in answer to), and how to respond to questions in emails by referring to each question specifically.

【Giving Approximate Information】
When you don't know exact numbers, use these expressions to give approximate information:
· Or so – I work 50 hours or so a week.(我每周工作50小时左右。)
· More or less – I work 50 hours a week, more or less.(我每周工作50小时,或多或少。)
· Around – I work around 50 hours a week.(我每周工作大约50小时。)
· Approximately – I work approximately 50 hours a week.(我每周工作大约50小时。)
· About – I work about 50 hours a week.(我每周工作大约50小时。)

Use these phrases to introduce a topic in emails or conversations:

【Responding to Questions in an Email】
When responding to questions in an email, you can follow this structure:
Step 1: Thank the person for their questions.
Thanks for sending me your questions.
Step 2: Let them know you've provided answers.
I've provided answers to your questions below.
Step 3: Answer the questions in order, referring to each question specifically.
In answer to your first question, HR deals with the bonus system.
Regarding your second question, holidays increase by one day per year.
Addressing your last question, pay is decided by your manager.

Describing the office environment:
