Dog Nuzzlers
Dogs need to communicate with human and exercise to stay healthy and feel comfortable around people. Dog

Districts across America are trying to address high numbers of students needing mental health support. What if
they can enlist students as part of the solution, too?
A rural Ohio high school has done just that. At Claymont High School in Uhrichsville, Ohio, a group of about
21 high schoolers are trained in mental health first aid. They’ve taken several courses over six weeks to learn how
to help their peers who are going through a difficult time.

without making them feel bad about it. “Ask them how they are and listen to them ― just be a friend and give them
someone to talk to,” she said.
The students, who are in grades 10 to 12, are part of a larger program called Peers Uplifting Peers, or P.U.P.,
which helps to break down the stigma (耻辱，污名) around mental health and wellness and normalize having
conversations about both and seeking help when necessary.
They’re trained as dog handlers for the district’s two therapy dogs ― another student-led wellness initiative
(措施). The students take the dogs to classes to help ease the anxieties of those who may be nervous about giving a

when they are experiencing problems in their lives,” said Cora Dotts, a freshman.

Now, many consumers will shop not in stores or on e-commerce sites, but through social-media apps. Leading
the trend is TikTok. The app hopes to bring to the West a business model that erases the line between shopping and
entertainment. TikTok Shop, an e-commerce feature added to the app in Britain in 2021 and America in 2023, lets

Nearly 6,000 years ago, ancient people climbed dry, rocky hills in what is now the Nigerian Sahara and carved
large images of giraffes into the sandstone. The quite detailed Dabous giraffe rock art is one of many ancient

studying how they interact with their habitats across large geographic regions, using space-age technology and
