Listen&Repeat近期考场真题|一起来精练(9)

目前网上关于托福口语 Listen and Repeat 的考场真题越来越多。找到题目并不难，真正困难的是：拿到一道真题之后，应该怎么练，才能把它真正转化为自己的口语能力？

很多同学的练习方式仍然停留在“听一遍—>跟读一遍—>对照原文再读一遍”。这样的练习看似完成了任务，却很容易忽略L&R真正考查的核心能力：能否快速识别句子的意群结构，能否准确捕捉重音，连读和语调，以及能否在有限时间内完整，自然地复述句子。

所以，本系列我不只是给大家分享近期考场真题，而是想带大家把每一道题真正练透。我们会搞清句子的 chunking，也就是按意群切分和记忆的节点；逐句标注重音，连读和弱读，并把文本中大家需要注意的语言点，词汇进行总结。给大家就正确的刷题流程“打个样”。

本期练习的是近期考场上出现的“sew a button”场景。

Step 1. 播放音频，按照考场流程复述并录音。

You‘re volunteering at a local community center near campus. One of the leaders is showing you how to teach children to sew a button onto fabric. Listen to the leader and repeat what the leader says. Repeat only once.

Step 2. 核对文本和chunking的点，把第一遍没复述好的句子重新复述直至熟练，注意chunking的切点，让记忆更高效。

1. First, thread the needle | and tie a knot.

首先，给针穿上线并打一个结。

2. Position the button | on the fabric. 

把纽扣放在布料上合适的位置。

3. Push the needle gently | through the fabric and button. 

轻轻地把针从布料和纽扣中穿过去。

4. Sew tightly through each of the holes between three and five times. 

把每个纽扣孔来回缝三到五次，确保缝牢。

5. Tie a strong knot | at the back | to firmly secure your work. 

在背面打一个牢固的结，把缝好的部分固定住。

6. Cut any extra thread, | then repeat the same steps | if there are other buttons. 

剪掉多余的线，如果还有其他纽扣，就重复相同的步骤。

7. If your fingers are sensitive, | use a thimble | for protection | while sewing.

如果你的手指比较敏感，缝制时可以使用顶针来保护手指。

Step 3.结合原音频中的发音现象模仿跟读。

其中：

a. 灰色单词为弱读的单词

b.下划线处为连读的地方

c. 中划线处为失爆的地方

e.g. When people plan meals inadvance, they are more likely to control food expenses andspendless money on unnecessary snacks or takeout.

1. First, thread the needle and tie a knot.

2. Position the button on the fabric. 

3. Push the needle gently through the fabric and button. 

Step 4. 记熟以下key expressions的意思和它们的用法。

1. thread: v. / n. /θred/

v. 穿（针）；把线穿过 

n. 线；细线

To put a thread through the eye of a needle or through a small opening. 

2. position:  v.  /pəˈzɪʃən/ v. 放置；安置；把……放在适当的位置 

To put or arrange something in a particular place or position.

e.g. The camera was positioned near the entrance.

3. sew: v. /soʊ/ 缝；缝制；缝合 

To join or attach pieces of cloth or other material using a needle and thread.

e.g.

sew by hand 

sew clothes 

sew pieces of fabric together

4. thimble: n. /ˈθɪmbəl/ 顶针；针箍

A small protective cover worn over the end of a finger when sewing.

Step 5. 再重新按考试流程练习1-2遍，并录音对比第一遍的版本，感受自己的进步。
