1. 可数名词变复数（1）一般加 s：book→books，pen→pens（2）以 s、x、ch、sh 结尾加 es：bus→buses，box→boxes，watch→watches，dish→dishes（3）辅音字母加 y 结尾，变 y 为 i 再加 es：baby→babies，city→cities元音字母加 y 结尾，直接加 s：boy→boys，day→days（4）以 f、fe 结尾多数变 v 再加 es：knife→knives，leaf→leaves，wife→wives，shelf→shelves，wolf→wolves，life→lives 例外：roof→roofs，chief→chiefs（5）以 o 结尾：有生命的加 es（tomato→tomatoes，potato→potatoes，hero→heroes，mango→mangoes）；无生命的加 s（photo→photos，piano→pianos，radio→radios，zoo→zoos）（6）不规则变化：man→men，woman→women，child→children，foot→feet，tooth→teeth，goose→geese，mouse→mice（7）单复数同形：sheep，deer，fish，Chinese，Japanese

2. 不可数名词常见词：water，milk，tea，bread，meat，rice，food，money，news，information，advice，work，homework，fun，weather，music，paper（纸），chalk，furniture（1）不能加 a、an，不能加 s（2）计量要借“量词 + of”：a piece of paper，two glasses of water，a bottle of milk（3）前面用 much、a little、little，不能用 many、few

3. 名词所有格（1）单数名词加 ’s：Tom’s bag，the girl’s hair（2）以 s 结尾的复数只加 ’：the students’ books，the teachers’ office（3）不以 s 结尾的复数加 ’s：Children’s Day，Women’s Day（4）表示时间、距离、国家、城市也可以用 ’s：today’s newspaper，ten minutes’ walk，China’s capital（5）无生命名词用 of：the door of the classroom，the name of the book（6）双重所有格：a friend of my father’s（我爸爸的一个朋友）

4. 名词作定语一般用单数：two apple trees，a shoe shop，a book store

三、典型例句There are three children and two women in the room.There is a piece of bread and two glasses of milk on the table.This is Lucy and Lily’s bedroom.（两人共用一间）These are Lucy’s and Lily’s beds.（各自有床）It is ten minutes’ walk from my home to school.The news is really exciting.（news 不可数，谓语用 is）

四、背诵口诀o 结尾，看生命；有生命加 es，无生命加 s。f、fe 变 v 加 es，roof、chief 是另外。s、x、ch、sh 加 es，辅音加 y 改 i 加 es。男男女女脚牙鹅，oo 变 ee 记心窝。

五、易错坑提醒

1. news 不可数，不能说 a news，也不能说 two news

2. people 本身就是复数，不能说 a people（除非指“民族”）

3. ten minutes’ walk 不能写成 ten minute’s walk

4. 不可数名词不能与 a、an 连用，也不能直接加 s

5. 前面有 these、those、many、two 时，名词一定用复数

6. hair 指整头头发时不可数（Her hair is long.）

7. advice、information 都不可数，要说 a piece of advice
