W: Japanese bachelors looking for love can now learn parenting skills to increase their chances of finding a
partner. The male-only “ikumen” course, or parenting course for men, was organized by Osaka-based company
“ikumen University” and was priced at 30,000 yen. The course teaches participants how to bathe and dress a
babyand also helps them understanda woman’s perspective on parenting through exercises suchas wearing a 7kg
pregnancy jacket. Participants also learn how to improve communication with a potential partner. Instructor Mr.
Takeshi Akiyama said the aim of the course was to help single men look more appealing to potential wives. “I

said.Masaya Kurita, a 31-year-old bachelorliving inTokyo startedthe courseafter looking fora wife over thelast
