Dear Mr. James,
Knowing that you are looking for an English news announcer, I am writing to apply for this post.
Firstly, I have a good command of oral English. I won the first prize in the Spoken English
Contest in my school last year. Besides, working as a part-time English tour guide has contributed to the

整档次，最后给分。

－ 使用了比较多样并且恰当的词汇和语法结构，可能有些许错误，但不影响理解。
－ 比较有效地使用了语句间衔接手段，全文结构比较清晰，意义比较连贯。

第三档（7～9分）
－ 覆盖了大部分内容要点，有个别地方表述不够清楚、合理。

第二节（满分25分）
Miss Miller took off her sweater and helped Ella to put it on. The sweater was long enough to cover the
ripped part of Ella’s dress. While she was on her way home, she even felt all the people appeared to be talking
about her ripped dress. As soon as Ella got home, she couldn’t help crying and ran right into Mom’s room to tell
her what had happened. She felt very ashamed and said she regretted wearing the dress to school.
“We can’t avoid problems,” said Mom. Then Mom hugged Ella. She told Ella that brave people would
always face problems bravely and solve them in time. Hearing Mom’s powerful words, Ella slowly raised her
head. She wiped her tearful eyes and ran to her room. After 10 minutes, Ella came out in her well-repaired dress.
“This is only the very beginning of fashion by Ella! Just wait for more great Ella fashions,” Ella said excitedly.

OK, so tomorrow we’ll be doing a tour of the city to see some of the most important sights in San Francisco.
We need to be at the Ferry Building in time to catch the boat at 8am. But I think we should aim to be there by
7:45, because the earlier you get on, the better seats you can get. It’s a 15-minute walk from the hotel. You won’t
need to bring any money for food because a packed lunch is provided. It’s included in the boat fare, which is $30.
It should be sunny tomorrow, but it can get windy on the boat, so a jacket is necessary. It takes about 25 minutes
to get to Sausalito. We’ll spend about an hour in Sausalito where we’ll do some shopping. From Sausalito we’ll
get a bus to the Golden Gate Park. Here, you will have a choice of activities. Firstly, the museum. The best thing
here is the painting collection. Anyway, you’ll have about two hours to visit before we break for lunch. After
lunch, you can go to Japanese Tea Garden. This is the oldest Japanese garden in the United States. There, you’ll
