AWhen you travel, how do you usually keep a record of the places you have visited? Some people take
photos or videos, others write travelogues (游记). But Berk Armagan has chosen a different way to do so—
painting on paper cups.
Berk is a 27-year-old artist from Turkey. Once, after a coffee party with friends at a cafe, Berk drew a
painting on a paper cup. ________ His friends were surprised. They laughed and said Berk could make a
living on that. Berk realized that few people paint paper cups. And so, in 2016, Berk started painting on cups
while traveling around the world. So far, he has been to more than 60 cities in 25 countries.

inspiration (灵感) from the streets and buildings after he arrives. He makes use of his time on the road to
paint. This gives him a short time for each piece of work. This pressure, he thinks, makes the creation more

with them. But they have dreamed to visit Beijing for a long time. So they went to Beijing from Hangzhou
by bike last summer holiday. They spent nearly one month on the bike travel.
