Last summer Mom and I went camping (露营) in Namibia to spend our holiday. It was my first time
camping and my first visit to Namibia. My mom knew the country. When she was young, she had been there
with a cousin, and she showed great happiness to go back there again.
The campsite (露营地) was beautiful, with a big swimming pool. Campsites usually have showers, but
when we got there, we found that this one had a real bath (浴缸)—I couldn’t believe it. Also, we didn’t need
to make our own meals because there was a cook making food for us in an outdoor kitchen.
I was always tired in the evenings and I couldn’t wait (等待) to get into my little camp bed. Every
night I lay there listening to all the animals. They were really noisy, so sleeping wasn’t effortless. However,
hearing them was one of the best things about the holiday.
We also saw a lot of animals. One day we found a lion family and stopped to watch them. Unluckily,
they were sleeping by a tree, and I couldn’t get any good photos of them. They didn’t look scary but ourguide (向导) didn’t let us get close.
It was a great holiday and I fell in love with camping. Now I know how interesting camping is. I think
