Step 1 Warming - up and Review (5 minutes) Greet students warmly and briefly ask about their recent situations.
Show some pictures through PPT to quickly review the key words and phrases
learned in the last lesson, such as "took music lessons", "visited my
grandparents", etc. Invite students to read and make sentences.
Randomly select students to have a dialogue using sentence patterns like
"Where did you go on holiday?" and "Did you do anything interesting?" to
review the key sentence patterns of the last lesson.
Step 2 Reading (15 minutes)
Pre - reading: Show the pictures in 3c, guide students to observe and ask:
"What can you see in the pictures? What do you think happened in the story?"
Encourage students to make bold guesses and stimulate their reading interest.
While - reading
①Let students skim the article in 3c quickly and find out the main content.
Answer questions like "What was the weather like when the writer arrived at
the town?" and "What did the writer do in the hotel?" to cultivate students'
ability to quickly obtain key information.
②Let students read the article intensively and complete the sentence - filling
exercise in 3c. Guide students to pay attention to detailed information and
understand the logical relationship of the article.
③Read the article again and have group discussions on questions such as
"Why did the writer feel excited when he saw the double rainbow?" and "What
could be the possible ending of the story?" Cultivate students' critical thinking
and logical reasoning ability.
Post - reading: Invite students to share their understanding and feelings about
the article, and encourage students to express different views. Then let
students continue to write the story based on the content of the article, using
indefinite pronouns and giving full play to their imagination, so as to cultivate
students' language application ability and innovative thinking.
Step 3 Vocabulary in Use (10 minutes)
Show the words in 2a, such as "holiday", "experience", "scenery", etc. Guide
students to have a brainstorming, think of as many related phrases as possible,
such as "summer holiday", "winter holiday", "travel experience", etc., and write
them on the blackboard.
Explain the words in 2b, such as "peace", "sick", "remind", etc. Help students
understand the meanings and usages of the words through examples like "This
place is full of peace.", "I felt sick after eating too much." and "The photo
reminds me of my childhood.".
Let students complete the sentence - filling exercise in 2b to consolidate the
usage of the learned words. Invite students to share the answers, explain and
check the answers, and focus on explaining students' mistakes. Let students complete the cloze exercise in 2c, using the correct forms of the
learned words to complete the passage. The teacher walks around to observe
students' answering situations and gives guidance in a timely manner. Invite
students to share the answers and conduct an overall analysis and explanation
of the passage.
Step 4 Listening and Discussion (10 minutes)
Listening: Show the pictures in 1a, guide students to observe and guess:
"What places do you think Vincent visited in Moscow?" Play the recording of
1b. Let students listen and answer questions like "What places did Vincent
visit?" and "How did he feel during the trip?" to cultivate students' listening
comprehension ability and information extraction ability.
Discussion: Let students read the diary in 1b. Have group discussions on
questions such as "What can we learn from Vincent's travel experience?" and
"What are the similarities and differences between Vincent's holiday and your
own holiday experiences?" Encourage students to share their opinions and
experiences, and cultivate students' critical thinking and language expression
ability.
Summary: Invite representatives of each group to share the discussion results.

Step 5 Writing (5 minutes)
Guide students to review their unforgettable holiday experiences, and let
students think about the questions in 3b: "When did it happen?", "Where were
you?", "What did you do?", "How did you feel?" and "What did you learn?".
Let students write a short passage to describe their unforgettable holiday
experiences according to their thinking, requiring the use of the learned
vocabulary, sentence patterns and indefinite pronouns. The teacher walks
around to observe students' writing situations and gives guidance and help in
a timely manner.
Invite several students to share their compositions. Other students listen
carefully and evaluate. The teacher finally summarizes and gives feedback, and
puts forward revision suggestions.
Complete the remaining exercises in the textbook, such as 3a - 3c in Section B.
Choose a short passage about your favorite holiday experience and recite it. There
