Step 1 Review and Lead - in (5 minutes)
Use the PPT to show some pictures of food cooking. Let the students describe
the pictures using the vocabulary and sentence patterns for describing cooking
steps learned in the previous lesson, reviewing the knowledge learned before.
Randomly select students and ask some basic questions about describing
cooking steps, such as what the adverbs of sequence are, to check the
students' mastery.
Step 2 Grammar Explanation (10 minutes)
Present the sentences in Grammar Focus. Guide the students to observe the
structures of exclamatory sentences and summarize the formation rules of
what - led and how - led exclamatory sentences. The structure of what - led
exclamatory sentences is: What + (a/an) + adjective+ noun (+ subject +
predicate)! The structure of how - led exclamatory sentences is: How +

Step 3 Practice Exercises (15 minutes)
Let the students complete the exercise in 3b of the textbook, changing the
given sentences into exclamatory sentences. The teacher walks around to

centralized explanations and intensive exercises.
Show some short passages about food cooking and evaluations. Let the
