Step 1. Review and Lead - in (5 minutes)
Randomly select students to describe family scenes or make requests using the key
sentence patterns learned before, such as "Can/Could you please...?" and "Could I...?",
and conduct simple dialogue Q&A to review the content of the previous lesson.
Show some pictures related to the vocabulary of the previous lesson, and ask students
to quickly say the corresponding words and phrases to strengthen vocabulary
memory.
Step 2. Vocabulary Learning (8 minutes)
Use PPT to present the new words and phrases in this period, such as "succeed", "at
least", "be strict with", "make a mess", etc. Help students understand their meanings
through examples, pictures and simple actions. For example, use "He succeeded in
passing the exam." to explain the usage of "succeed"; show a picture of a messy room
to explain "make a mess".
Lead students to read the words and phrases, and correct their pronunciations. Then
let students practice group reading and individual reading.

students consolidate the spelling and meaning of vocabulary in the game.
Step 3. Reading Training (12 minutes)
Skimming: Distribute the reading materials of 2d. Let students quickly skim the article
and answer the question "What are the main ideas about the family rules and
expectations in the passage?" to cultivate students' ability to obtain the main idea of
the article.
Scanning and Intensive Reading: Let students read the article carefully again and
complete the tasks in 2e, such as filling in the blanks and judging true or false. Remind
students to use scanning skills to quickly locate key information during the reading
process.
Language Points Explanation: Combine the content of the article to explain the usage
of key vocabulary and phrases in the text in detail, such as the usage of "be strict with"
in "Parents should be strict with their children." At the same time, analyze the complex
sentence structures and grammar points in the text, such as the application of
conditional clauses.
Group Discussion: Organize students to discuss in groups whether the family rules and
expectations mentioned in the article are reasonable. Encourage them to express their
own opinions and communicate and share within the group.Step 4. Oral Expression (10 minutes)
Set Scenarios: Present some specific family scenarios, such as a child wanting to
attend a friend's party but being restricted by some family rules, or parents expecting
their children to complete certain housework on weekends. Let students work in pairs
to practice dialogues using the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns, expressing
their thoughts and requests.
Teacher's Circulation: During the students' dialogue process, the teacher walks around
each group, listens to the students' exchanges, gives timely guidance and corrections,
and encourages students to use the newly learned vocabulary and complex sentence
patterns.
Presentation and Evaluation: Invite several pairs of students to show their dialogues
in front of the class. Other students listen carefully and evaluate, scoring and
commenting from aspects such as language expression, content rationality and
communicative ability. The teacher finally summarizes and comments, affirming the
students' advantages and pointing out the existing problems.
Step 5. Writing Practice (5 minutes)
Assign Tasks: Ask students to write a short passage based on the reading materials
and oral practice content, expounding on their family rules and expectations, as well
as their views on these rules and expectations. Require students to use the vocabulary
and sentence patterns learned in this period, with no less than 100 words.
Writing Guidance: Remind students to pay attention to the structure of the article. For
example, they can introduce the topic at the beginning, describe the family rules and
expectations in detail in the middle, and express their views and feelings at the end. At
the same time, encourage students to use connectives and transitional words to make
the article more coherent.
Student Writing: Students start writing. The teacher walks around the classroom,
