Step 1 Leading in
1．Greeting
2．Brainstorming
Quickly review the festival words. Then show pictures and get the students to think of
the English for the Mid－Autumn Festival.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1．Finish the task in 3a①Help the students to understand the demand in 3a and read the questions.
T：Have you heard of the story “Chang'e flying to the moon”？Today we are going
to read the story about it.
②Quickly read the story about the Mid－Autumn Festival. Discuss the questions and
comprehend the whole passage.
2．Finish the task in 3b
3．Finish the task in 3c
4．Finish Grammar Focus
5．Finish the task in 4a
①Make sentences and write them in the books. And correct them with the partners.
②The whole class read aloud the sentences. Help with the pronunciation and
intonation.
6．Finish the task in 4b
①Read the instructions and know what to do. Then read the letter quietly and
underline the objective clauses.
②Check the answers and read out the sentences with objective clauses.
③Ask students to write their own sentences about Mother's Day and Father's Day.
