Step 1 Leading in

Quickly ask questions about their appearance in the primary school and get
1individuals to describe themselves by using “used to”. Read aloud the conversation in
2d.
Step 2 Finish the task in 3a
①Help the students to understand the demand in 3a.Talk about the girl in the picture
and discuss the title “From Shy Girl to Pop Star”．
②Scan the information in the box and learn the new words “article，paragraph and
background”．Quickly read the passage about Candy and finish the task.Do not
mention the new words and expressions at this time.
Step 3 Finish the task in 3b
①Read the instructions.
②Read the article carefully and learn the details.
③Get the students to work by themselves and complete the sentences about Candy.
④Check the answers with the whole class.
⑤Read and learn.
Step 4 Finish the task in 3c
Ask students to prepare questions for the interview. Then ask and answer in pairs.
