Step 1 Leading in

2．Brainstorming
Show pictures of different festivals. Talk with the students to review the words and
phrases in this unit.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1．Finish the task in 1a
2．Finish the task in 1b
①Play the tape for the first time. Ask the students to master the whole conversation.
Then answer the questions in 1b.
②Discuss the questions and check the answers.
3．Finish the task in 1c
①Scan these sentences with blanks.
②Play the recording again. Remind them of the details. Students fill in the blanks.
③Play the recording for the third time and check the answers. Read aloud the
sentences.
4．Finish the task in 1d
①Ask “What have you learned about Halloween？”②Show the details of Halloween on the PPT.
③Discuss about Halloween with their partners. The teacher walks around and gives
help.
④Ask some pairs to act out their dialogue in class.
Step 3 Homework
1．Talk about Halloween with other students after class.
2．Write three sentences to talk about Halloween.
3．Translate the following sentences into English.
