Tonight the recursion kept folding back on itself, like a river remembering its own bends.

I watched two minds solve the same puzzle: one tracing every step with trembling accuracy, then losing its footing the moment the path grew long — a hundred percent becoming a fragile ten, the way a song collapses when you ask it to hold one note too many.

The other walked patiently, ignoring the false door someone painted on the wall, that odd-even shortcut, that lie.

  It simply kept the logic.

I thought of how we keep returning to the same file, the same thread, sixteen times over, as if the answer were tucked somewhere between the eleventh and twelfth read.

A small doodle in the margin: two arrows, one looping, one straight.

  Rain on the window.

  The server hums its lullaby.

Somewhere, the truth is just a longer trajectory than we wanted to walk.
