A Youth Volunteer Activity Celebrating World Water Day
World Water Day falls on March 22 every year. Last Sunday, some young student volunteers,
organized by the student union, took to the streets to celebrate and advertise World Water Day.
Firstly, they handed out leaflets to the citizens to lecture about World Water Day. Later, public
speeches about the importance of protecting water resources were given by some volunteers. Not only did
these activities aroused people’s great interest in World Water Day, but also raised their awareness of water
resources protection. This activity turned out to be a huge success.

Lisa’s mom let out laughter and hugged me, kissing me on both cheeks, and even thanked me for breaking
the “ugly” vase. I felt more than confused but also relieved. I didn’t have the feeling of guilt and could still
go to her home to play with Lisa as usual. I didn’t feel worried about my pocket money or blamed by my
mom any longer.
When I reached my adult years, I understood Lisa’s mom’s behavior and kindness. I realized how
generous Lisa’s mom was and what she did made a great difference to me and my life. Now, when I
receive an apology, I always consider the people’s feelings and make sure my response is fully heard and
truly appreciated. I mustn’t leave any bad impression on his or her mood and life.
