My Views on Overusing AI Learning Tools
Ladies and gentlemen,
While AI tools like ChatGPT enhance learning efficiency, overdependence on them risks undermining our
intellectual growth. Copying answers directly may save time, but it deprives us of critical thinking opportunities
essential for lifelong learning.
Firstly, distinguish between “assistance” and “replacement”. Use AI to clarify difficult concepts, not to
complete entire essays. Secondly, prioritize independent problem-solving. Set a rule: attempt assignments
manually before seeking digital aid. Finally, practice ethical use. Submitting AI-generated work as our own
violates academic integrity.
True progress stems from struggling with challenges, not bypassing them. Let technology be a ladder, not
a crutch. Only through balancing innovation and self-reliance can we become future-ready learners.
Thank you.

My Views on Overusing AI Learning Tools
Ladies and gentlemen,
While artificial intelligence has revolutionized educational paradigms, excessive reliance on algorithmic
assistance poses a profound threat to cognitive development. Instant access to pre-packaged answers may
satisfy short-term academic demands, yet it erodes the very essence of learning — the arduous yet rewarding
process of constructing knowledge through trial, error, and nuanced comprehension.
To navigate this dilemma, I propose a tripartite strategy. First and foremost, we must delineate between
高二·英语答案 第 1 页 共 4 页supplemental guidance and intellectual outsourcing. AI should function as a conceptual clarifier for perplexing
theories, not a ghostwriter for essays. Moreover, cultivate metacognitive discipline: impose a 30-minute
independent brainstorming mandate before activating any digital aid. Concurrently, uphold academic honor by
transparently citing AI contributions, mirroring scholarly citation protocols.
As Socrates proclaimed, “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” Let us wield
technology not as a crutch for mental indolence, but as a whetstone to sharpen our intellectual blades.
Thank you.

Paragraph 1:
It was Max’s turn to be interviewed. He went inside and passed his file to the interviewers. After looking at
his file, an interviewer asked, “When are you joining?” A wave of surprise flooded into Max’s mind. Looking
at his face, the interviewer said, “Today, in interviews, no one was asked anything. We noticed everyone came
but no one switched off the tap or light except you. You have good values and habits. This is what we evaluate
most.”
Paragraph 2:
After the interview, Max reached home and hugged his parents. He told them about the interview and the
result. He apologized to them and thanked them. He said, “In my life, my degree has less value in comparison
to the lessons I have learned from you because of your strict demand on small matters. Today, I come to know
that not only education but good habits and values have their own importance if I want to succeed in life. A
person who doesn’t have self-disciplines, no matter how smart he is, can’t succeed in his life.”

Text 1
M: Oh, Julie. On your way out, can you take this document and give it to George when you see
him! It’s the list of customers he is supposed to meet on Friday.
W: OK. No problem.
Text 2
W: That was a good presentation, don’t you think?
M: Well, the beginning was a bit slow but the speaker eventually made quite a lot of good points.
There was a lot of information there that I might be able to work into my current project.
Text 3
M: Emily, hi! The school play starts at 7:30 tonight and lasts two hours. Would you like to come?
W: Will you perform in it?
M: Yeah. I’ve got to be there an hour before that to get ready. It takes ages to wear my costume
and do my make-up!
Text 4
M: Are you planning on attending the recycling event, Sarah?
高二·英语答案 第 2 页 共 4 页W: Yes, I am. The money will go towards helping protect the forests. So I’ll definitely be there to
do my part. I will bring some items I no longer need and sell them.
Text 5
W: Hi Jake, this is Lauren. I’m in Brad’s office with Sherry and Monica now. We’re wondering if
you can come over to talk about the end-of-year party.
M: Oh, hi, Lauren. Yes, I’ll head over in a few minutes.
Text 6
W: I’ve been volunteering for an environmental charity recently. We pick up litter in lots of different
places. It was on a beach the first time I went, and just yesterday I was doing it in a park.
There’s another one coming up, which is by a river.
M: I’d like to get involved in that.
W: Okay, but you need to meet the organizer first. The event will take place on Wednesday. That
gives you tomorrow and Tuesday to meet her. I’ll text you her details.
M: Thanks.
Text 7
M: I heard that the boss hired someone for the open position. Do you know who this person is?
W: Yes, I just got the word from Mr. Miller, and he said that the manager’s position goes to Mr.
Lee because of his experience. According to him, it was a tough decision because both Mr. Lee
and Mr. Harris have excellent qualifications.
M: They are both excellent, but I am a bit surprised that Ms Simpson was not included in the race.
W: Well, she was in the running. But she dropped out of the race because getting a promotion means
working longer hours, and she was not interested in doing that.
Text 8
W: Thanks for coming today, Nick. Now, can you tell us about what you do?
M: Yes, I organize holidays for people who can’t see.
W: It must be difficult to travel to a place when you have problems with your sight. What kind of
holidays do you offer?
M: We have a variety of options, including city breaks, beach getaways, and activity camps. The
camps are in highest demand because we offer sailing.
W: Are there any unforgettable moments?
M: Last month, we had a new adventure in the mountains. It involved hiking, rock climbing, and
biking. I was filled with pride to see the smiles on our customers’ faces.
Text 9
M: I’m with Sophie Rudd, who adds colors to old black-and-white photos by hand, using crayons and inks.
Sophie, how did you learn to do it?
高二·英语答案 第 3 页 共 4 页W: Well, I started by looking for a teacher, but didn’t find anyone. But I found plenty of skilled people online
and learned from some useful videos.
M: Is that how you developed your approach to working with historical photos?
W: Yes. Before I start selecting which colors to add to the photos, I look carefully at what’s in them and then
collect information about it.
M: And now you’ve published a book of historical photos.
W: Yes! A well-known historian saw my photos on social media and got in touch. We’ve worked together a lot
since then. That’s how the book got published. I was so happy when teachers said the book got young
students much more interested in history.
M: So what are your plans for the future?
W: I’d like to share my experiences, so I’ll organize presentations to local groups about my fascination with old
photos.
Text 10
Hello everyone. I want to update you on our new school building! As you know, there have
been three main stages in the building project. Firstly, planning, and we welcomed advice from you,
parents and teachers. The next step, design, went on for more time than we predicted. But the third
stage, construction, has now finished ahead of schedule.
So, let me give you more details. You will notice how light the classrooms now are, thanks to
larger windows, and how the sound is much better too. Even when the corridors are full at break
times, classrooms should still be quiet with the doors closed. This was important, but not easy to
achieve!
The new facilities are all completed. We received a generous donation from local businessmen,
which allowed us to build several music rooms and an art studio. They will be open for students
after school. We wanted the local community to be part of our school too. So anyone living in the
area will be able to use the sports center for a small charge.
We want you all to find out where everything is in the new building. So, we are putting together
a display, showing where all the rooms are and what they look like. Come and take a look!
