Liu Yang, who lives in Beijing with her family, is the first Chinese woman in space. When she watched the
news on TV about China’s first manned space mission in 2003, she wondered what the Earth would look like from
outer space. Nine years later, she got the opportunity to find out herself as China’s first female astronaut. She was
chosen to crew the Shenzhou-9 manned spacecraft together with the other two Chinese. She was in charge of
medical experiments during the mission. She was fully confident before the mission. She thought men and women
had their own advantages in carrying out space missions. Though she is busy with her work most of the time,
she’s also a good cook. Besides, she also loves reading, especially novels, essays and history books.

One morning I got up very early. I wanted to go to see my teacher. I was walking along the street when Iheard a strange sound coming from the sky. I held up my head and saw strange animal with a big head and
small body flying around. It looked ugly. Its skin was black. Its eyes were as big as a bulb. Its mouth was like a
pan and its nose was too small to be seen. “It must be an alien” I said to myself, “Great! Great!” I was so
surprised and excited that I stopped to watch it carefully. The alien walked into a shop，the assistant in the shop
was very scared. Then she call the police. The alien heard the police whistle rushed out of the shop and ran
away. The UF0 flew away quickly.

Today I want to share the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial with you.
One day, a 10-year-old boy Elliott meets an alien. Elliott calls him “E.T.”. They play together and soon
become good friends. E.T. misses home one day. With Elliott’s help, E.T. makes a special phone to call his own
planet. Aliens there are coming to take E.T. home. But some scientists want to do experiments with him. The kids
want to take E.T. to the forest on bicycles. But the adults don’t let them go. At this time, E.T. shows his magic
power. He makes all the bicycles fly! They soon arrive at a safe place.
Finally it is time to say goodbye. E.T. gets on the spaceship and flies away to his home.
