第一节
The Benefits of Doing Housework
In a campus interview conducted recently, students have shared how they benefit from doing
housework. The findings suggest that students participating in housework are more likely to improve
time management, relieve stress, and build a sense of responsibility. The interviews reveal that doing
housework not only promotes family bonding but fosters personal growth. Some students believe that it
even plays a significant role in academic success, for it helps strengthen self-reliance and confidence.
All in all, the benefits extend beyond home as long as they embrace the role of contributing to
housework.
第二节
In the park, I would put Ted one meter away from me, encouraging him to walk. At first, he could not
even move an inch without falling down. But instead of getting discouraged, he would keep trying until
he finally managed to take a few steps forward with the support of my hands. Gradually, Ted learned to
balance himself and began to walk slowly but steadily. The park became our secret place where we
spent hours every day, I patiently guiding him and Ted determinedly working on his mobility.
We agreed to keep this a secret from our parents until mom’s birthday. On that day, while everyone
was enjoying a family lunch, Ted suddenly stood up from his chair and took a few unsteady steps
towards our mother. Her eyes widened as she watched her son, who had been unable to walk for some
time, now taking small, confident steps towards her, which was such a heartwarming moment for all of
us. From that day on, Ted’s progress was nothing short of a miracle, and our family was overjoyed to
see him regaining his strength and mobility.
