【对话】当 AI 冲击手绘:与大卫探讨不同文字体系下的动画创作

大卫：要把“我想要我的母亲” 这几个汉字写对，其实相当不易。举例来说，孩子要记住每个汉字对应的含义，这已经很考验记忆力；而要准确书写每个汉字，不漏掉任何一处细微的笔画转折，则对手部精细控制能力要求极高。绘制动画，同样需要这种记忆力与手部操控能力。

大卫：西方孩子学习书写，需要记住哪些字母对应哪些发音，还要掌握因历史演变而产生变化的拼写规则，但书写单词字母本身的难度并没有这么大。

大卫：西方和中国儿童在进行动画创作时，都具备不错的记忆力。不过中国孩子更擅长复杂的手绘操作，这也给予他们更强的信心，不断重复绘制自己笔下的生灵，并对形象做出细微改动、持续创作。

大卫：汤勺，这是我第一次尝试阐释其中的差异，很多地方我还需要进一步思考。我也需要更多地研究韩国与日本儿童，才能弄清楚这些区别。

David: “我想要我的母亲” is very difficult to draw correctly. For example, for a child to learn what characters represent which words is one feat of memory, but then to accurately draw each character without missing each tiny twist is a feat of great manual control. That memory and manual control are also required for drawing animation.

David:Learning to write in the West requires memory of which letters to use for which sounds and when the rules change that reflect historical changes, but then the actual drawing of the letters of the words is not as difficult.

David:Both Western and Chinese children can bring well-developed memory to animation, but Chinese children have also become more adept at complex drawing manipulations and that gives them more confidence to continue going forward in repeating and slightly changing the drawing of living beings they have created.

David:Tang, this is the first time I've tried to explain the difference, and I would need to think much more about this. I would need also to work more with Korean and Japanese children to understand the differences.

David:There will be a great loss of manual drawing ability for all children with the increased use of digital aids to writing, and of course AI will complicate things.
