校英语报正在以 "榜样" 为主题开展征文活动，请具体讲述你的榜样如何为如今的你注入前行的力量。

The person I admire most is my mom. She is an ordinary housewife, but she always keeps trying when things get hard.

Last year, I failed my math exam and felt very sad. I thought I would never be good at it. Instead of blaming me, Mom sat down with me and went through every wrong question patiently. She said, "Failing once doesn't mean you can't do it. The important thing is to get over it and keep going." Her words gave me confidence. From then on, I practiced math every day, and now I'm much better at it.

Mom is my role model because she teaches me that difficulties are not scary. Her love and power always push me forward, no matter what happens.

My role model is my classmate Li Ming. He is not the top student, but he never gives up when he faces difficulties.

In Grade Seven, Li Ming was weak in English. He could not remember new words and often failed his tests. However, he did not lose heart. Every morning, he got up early to read English. In class, he listened carefully and asked the teacher questions whenever he did not understand. After a year of hard work, he finally got an A in English! His experience tells me that nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it.

Now, whenever I meet difficulties in my study, I think of Li Ming. His spirit gives me the power to keep going. He is truly an inspiring person around me.

我的榜样是我的同学李明。他不是成绩最好的学生，但当他面对困难时，从不放弃。

ordinary 一词呼应了题目中 "身边普通人身上的光芒" 这个主题，keeps trying 和 when things get hard 简洁地道，一句话就写出了人物的核心品质。

2. Instead of blaming me, Mom sat down with me and went through every wrong question patiently. 妈妈没有责怪我，而是坐下来耐心地和我一起一道一道地分析错题。

instead of 引出对比，went through every wrong question 是非常具体的动作描写，比空说 "Mom helped me" 生动一百倍，是中考作文拿高分的细节手法。

3.Failing once doesn't mean you can't do it. The important thing is to get over it and keep going. 失败一次不代表你做不到。重要的是克服它，继续前进。 

用妈妈的原话直接引语，让文章更真实感人；Failing once 动名词作主语，get over 正是题目提示词，自然融入不生硬。

4. He could not remember new words and often failed his tests. However, he did not lose heart. 他记不住新单词，考试经常不及格。然而，他没有灰心。 

however 是中考高频转折过渡词，前一句写他的困境（fail），后一句写他的态度（不灰心），对比鲜明，为下文的努力做铺垫。
