Part 2 · 宾语从句一次讲透|4 关 + 6 易错
第一关 连接词:that / if / whether 怎么选
陈述一件事 → that(可省略):I believe (that) small habits matter most.
带「是否」的疑问 → if / whether:I wonder if flashcards really work.
细节规则:介词后只用 whether(It depends on whether you practise.);与 or not 直接连用时用 whether(whether or not);句首只用 whether(Whether it helps is unclear.)
第二关 语序:从句一律「陈述语序」
把疑问句的「提前」放回主语后面。易错对照:
✗ 错误 | ✓ 正确 |
I don't know where is the library. | I don't know where the library is. |
Do you know what does "method" mean? | Do you know what "method" means? |
I wonder that he will join us. | I wonder whether / if he will join us. |
I want to know if or not it works. | I want to know whether or not it works. |
第三关 时态呼应
主句过去时 → 从句用相应过去时;客观事实/习惯可保留现在时。
He said (that) he reviewed his notes every night.(习惯 → 过去时)
She told me (that) practice makes perfect.(真理 → 保持一般现在时)
第四关 it 作形式宾语 + 否定前移
I find it hard to believe that talent beats practice.(it 代替后面的从句)
I don't think he is wrong.(否定前移:否定 think,不是否定从句)
一题自测(答案将置顶在本文评论区)
My deskmate asked me ______ I could share my strategy with her. (答案四选一:that / whether / what / how —— 提示:带「是否」且不与 or not 连用)
Part 3 · 同主题精读实战|两篇自编短文,50 词全复现
精读一 · From Zero to Confident(记叙文 · 约 300 词)
阅读提示:文中橙色加粗下划线的单词和短语,就是文章一讲过的本单元词汇——先通读,再看批注表。
Last term, my English grades started from almost zero. I could follow the teacher in class, but the moment I opened my schoolwork at home, everything felt strange. Then one night I came across a podcast about study habits, and the host said something that stuck: "Don't try to fix everything at once. Go step by step."
So I did. I picked one small strategy and built up a routine around it. Every morning, I read a short dialoguealoud on the way to school. On the bus, I reviewed my flashcards instead of scrolling videos. When I met a new word, I learned to look it up in a paper dictionary — writing it down slowly made me remember it better than a quick click.
In October, I ran a hands-onexperiment on myself. For one month, I tested three methods of learning grammar: watching videos, doing exercises, and writing my own example sentences. The third one suited me best, and it made revision almost enjoyable. I also joined a school science project, where I had to take notes fast and summarize them for the team — that taught me more than any test.
By December, my reading speed had doubled, and in general my schoolwork felt lighter. A learner does not need talent to improve; what you need is not ten learning websites but one paper notebook, and the patience to practise actively. My teacher suggested that I keep the routine going next term. I think that will work — in part because it no longer feels like hard work.

精读二 · Four Habits of Efficient Learners(说明文 · 约 300 词)
Recent research suggests that habits, not talent, decide how far a learner goes. Here are four habits that work.
First, build a growthmindset. Strong learners believe that ability grows with practice. They treat every mistake as feedback, not as a verdict. When an experiment fails, they ask what it taught them — the addition of this one question changes everything.
Second, choose your materials wisely. Your textbook is the base, but it should not be the whole menu. Magazines and newspaperssuit beginners because the passages are short. Click open an e-book when a paper book is not around; keep two or three favourites on your shelf and finish them one by one. Resources only work, in part, if you actually use them — a full shelf helps nobody.
Third, ask for guidance early. A coach or a teacher can spot the problem you cannot see. Take advantage of every chance to get feedback on your pronunciation and your writing. In addition, work with classmates: explaining a point to someone else is the cheapest method of revision — and it has one more advantage: it costs nothing.
Finally, summarize and review efficiently. As a general rule, ten minutes of review beats one extra hour of new input. Print a one-page summary of each unit, stick it above your desk, and read it aloud once a day. Your eyes lead, your brain follows, and memory opens up in a surprising way.
Learning is not a straight road. There are valleys — slow weeks when nothing seems to improve. Learners with strong habits walk through those valleys and come out faster. Which of the four habits will you try first?
