I have since filledtwo sketchbooks solely with portraits, not as studies for future work, but as individual

NevertoooldtobeanOlympichero
At the age of 61, Ni Xialian, the oldest table tennis player, never felt out of place in Paris.
With neat movements when taking advantage, and quick leaps to relieve her emotions
when 51 (lose) a point, the former Chinese world champion, now representing Luxembourg,
gave out her full strength against her much younger opponent from her home country – 23-year-old
Sun Yingsha, 52 did not hide her skills to make it into the final 16 on July 31.
After wrapping up her sixth Olympic 53 (appear) with a defeat of 0-4 to the current world
No 1, Ni emotionally said at the after-match interview that her dream 54 (come) true already to
compete with the world’s top player.
Before facing Sun at the opposite side of the table, “Aunt Ni” did not refuse when
she 55 (invite) to serve as a training partner to China’s 56 (mix) doubles champions
Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin before their face-off with a DPRK pair in the final game.
Throughout Sun and Ni’s match, the CCTV commentators kept 57 (refer) to Ni as “Master
Ni” instead of using her full name to show respect 58 her contribution to China’s table tennis at
her career peak and also for her efforts in promoting the sport in Europe and around the world.
I 59 (true) appreciate the shared slogan of the Paris Olympics “Games wide Open”. To me,
it means “wide open” not only for any competitor who represents the Olympic spirit 60 for any
performance or choice made by an Olympian.

In today’s fast-pacedworld, manypeople lack 61 (emotion) connection withothers.It wasn’t

Iwasstruckbythethoughtthatouremotionscansometimesdisappearinthehustleandbustleoflife.We
become so engaged in our own routines that we fail 67 (appreciate) the people around us. This
reflection made me realize the importance of being 68 (gratitude) for every interaction, no matter
howsmall.
Everyone should take the time to think about connections they have with others. By doing so, we can
change our different 69 (attitude). It’s only when we appreciate the ordinary
