Yesterday, all of the students in Grade 2 participated in an activity launched by the cooking club of our school：
Learning to Cook One Course Per Week.
Arranged in the school canteen, the cooking course displayed a wide variety of cooking techniques, ranging from
chopping vegetables to stir-frying. Every participant had an opportunity to taste the dish made by themselves. Amazed
by the smell and flavor of the DIY dish, we felt a strong sense of accomplishment and pride.

W: Good afternoon, I’m Ella. My blog is about clothes for students. I didn’t get many hits at first, but one newspaper
wrote something about me, and more people started to look at the blog. Then, a local TV channel interviewed me for
a program. Since then, the blog has developed even faster, so I’m no longer working alone. A photographer agreed to
take some shots for the site. To better show the clothes, my brother Eden offered to be my model. And I considered
hiring a make-up artist. Luckily, Bonnie, my talented friend, helped me. I make sure I include all kinds of clothes
to suit a range of tastes for my readers. I try and think about their budgets, too. Most of the clothes I talk about are
readily available. As well as showing the latest styles, I also feature classic clothes I’ve found in second-hand shops.
Believe it or not, those from the 1920s are the richest sources of ideas for my recent blog posts, although people
enjoyed the clothes from the 1970s most. I also got positive comments about stuff from the 1980s.
