Step1. Preview
T: Prepare the words of this class. Find new words on P77, you can read these words according
to the phonetic spelling, recording and you can also ask others. And memorize these words;
check each other in the group in class.
①Read the new words individually for several minutes.
② Check: Ask some students to read the new words by themselves, check their
pronunciations.
③Work in groups read and memorize the new words and phrases.

Greet the students as usual.T: Problems and worries are normal in life. If you have any problems, you should talk to
other people you trust and find the solutions.

What kind of things do you worry about?
Who do you usually go to for help?

Step3.Fast reading：

Step4. Careful reading

Why can our parents give us good advice about our problems?

Students finish the tasks by themselves, put up their hands when they need

Step5. After reading
T: Problems and worries are normal in life. If you have problems, you should talk to
other people you trust. It is best not to run away from our problems. We should try to
solve them. You are half way to solving a problem just by talking to someone about it.
2e Ask some students the following questions. Take notes of their answers.
What problems do you have with schoolwork?
Who do you talk to about these problems and why?
Who else can you get advice from？
Do you always tell your parents about your problems? Why or why not?
Do you ever give advice to your friends about their problems? What advice do you
give?

Step6. Inquiry into knowledge by the group cooperation.
①If people have problems, they should keep them to themselves.
keep: 在此处意为“保留，保存”keep… to oneself 不向他人诉说，保守秘密；

Maria is shy and she always keeps her worries to herself. 玛利亚很内向，总是把烦恼埋在心底
②She just keep thinking, “If I tell my parents, …”她一直在想：“如果我告诉我的父母的话,
…”
在此句中，keep表示“（使…）保持（某种状态或关系）；一直……，后面接动词时，该动词要
用-ing的形式，形成keep doing…结构。
③Unless we talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse.如果我们不向别人倾诉，我们必定会感
觉更糟。
unless:连词，意为“除非，如果不”，在句中引导条件状语从句。
I won’t go to the party unless Gina invites me.我将不去参加聚会，除非吉娜邀请我。
④If I tell my parents, they’ll be angry. 如果我告诉我的父母，他们将会很生气。
angry: 形容词，“生气的，发怒的”。be angry with sb. “生某人的气”， be angry at/about sth.
“因某事而生气”。
If you don’t finish the work, Mr. Black will be angry with you.如果你不完成这项工作，布莱克先生将会生的你气。
My mother is angry at my mistake. 我妈妈因我的错误而生气。
⑤Robert Hunt advises students about the common problems.罗伯特·亨特就一些常见的问题给
了学生们建议。
advise:动词，“建议，劝告”。其名词形式为：advice(不可数)
advise sb. on/about sth. 就…问题给某人建议
advise sb. to do sth. 建议/劝告某人做某事
⑥It is best not to run away from our problems.最好不要逃避我们的问题.
It is best (not) to do sth. 最好（不）做某事.
⑦So you’re halfway to solving a problem just by talking to someone about it!
因此，你只要和别人聊聊这个问题，你就已经解决了问题的一半。
be halfway to…表示“完成了或做了事情的一部分”，其中halfway后面的to是介词，后加动
词的-ing形式。
如：We are still only halfway to finishing the job. 我们才仅仅完成了工作的一部分。

by: 表示方式，相当于汉语“通过…办法，使用…方式”的意思。
如：We can practice and learn English by singing English songs.
我们可以通过唱英文歌曲来学、练英语。

根据句意及首字母提示补全单词，使句子完整、通顺。

本节课我通过活动自然而然的引入学习内容，给出句子后让学生自己分析句子的共同点，自
己得出结论而不是教师填压给的，培养学生的观察、总结能力，特别是小组合作探究掀起了
本课的高潮，课后活动全体学生都动了起来，既巩固了所学知识，又训练了学生运用所学做
事的能力。
不足：
本节课容量较大，有多个阅读任务，因此时间要安排得当，否则会造成前松后紧。
