66.As is known to all, many kinds of wild animals have died out and lots of others are becoming endangered. It’s
urgent for us to take action to protect them. If nothing is done, we may find ourselves alone on the earth one day.
Wild animals are endangered for various reasons. Firstly, many animals are dying out because of air or water
pollution. Secondly, the forests where wild animals live are being destroyed. As a result, a lot of animals are losing
their habitats. Besides, too much hunting also causes the disappearance of certain species of wild animals.
From my point of view, our government should keep people from destroying forests and close down the
factories which pollute rivers and air. Meanwhile, more wildlife reserves should be set up.

By this time, Lewis was so distracted by the UFO. That's when the object entered the last cloud. From there it
was nothing but open sky. "When it appeared, my life changed," Lewis says. "There against the richness of the blue
sky was a silvery shape that seemed to have arms and legs! It was so beautiful to look at. At the same time,it had the
appearance of metal. It looked like some kind of ship with a strange design. The best way I could describe it is that it
looked like a silver tool in the design of the stickman children draw. It was huge, moving fast and made no noise.
"As it sailed overhead, some of the arms and legs would move up and down, giving the impression of being
alive!" He says. " It made a couple of rolls, reflecting the sun in every direction-just beautiful! Slowly it landed on
the land. I imagined extraterrestrials would come out, but that didn't happen. Then it began to rise and move farther
and farther away. As it started to fade away from my view, I found myself short of breath and with tears running
down my cheeks. It had that much of an effect on me. I began thinking maybe that's what an angel looks like."

Text1:M: How do I learn to speak French like a native speaker?W: Well, unless you have an exceptionally good ear, you’ll have to go to France.
M: Is there no other way?
W: The second best option is to spend many hours in the language lab.
Text2:W: That sofa is 200 pounds. How will you pay?
M: Do you accept checks?
W: No, but you can pay by credit card or in cash.
M: Okay, I’ve got my credit card with me today.
Text3:M: Good morning, madam, how beautiful you look in this sweater.
W: Thank you.
M: Did you make it yourself?
W: No, my daughter made it for me as a birthday present.
Text4:W: Hello. I’m calling about a notice for a piano teacher that was on the board at college.
М: Oh, yes. Have you been teaching piano for a long time?
W: Well, for over ten years.
Text5:M: They say the population is getting older and that could cause problems. What do you think?
W: I see problems ahead, because fewer young people will pay for the needs of old people.
M: It’ll all be OK, because robots will do most of the work.
Text6:W: What do you think of the development?
M: You’re creating a whole new community.
W: We certainly are — 400 homes, 40 shops and two schools.
M: Don’t you worry that you’re taking more green space away from the city?
W: Look, Mr. Sharples, you must understand that this city needs more affordable housing.
M: But surely we have to consider the environment as well. Will you be living here or will you be in a suburb where
you can see trees everywhere?
W: I’d gladly live in one of these homes. In fact, I’ll let you into a secret. I grew up in this area.
M: Really? I didn’t know that.
W: Oh yes, and it wasn’t the perfect place you imagine. It was safe and not so crowded, but there was rubbish and
dirt everywhere.
Text7:M: We finally reached the hotel.
W: Well, Dad, what shall we do tomorrow?
M: We are going to the shopping centre. I promised your mom to buy her a beautiful dress.
W: Do you know what color mom likes most?
M: Pink, I think. Maybe yellow.W: I think she likes bright red.
Text8:W: Wow, another year is over. Do you have any new year plans?
M: Yeah, I want to go to China. My friend Jim went there last year and visited many places of interest. But what I
want to do is learn its culture and its language because it’s a country with a long history. So, I will be there for the
next two years. What about you? What’s your plan?
W: I want to meet some new people and do something fun.
M: Like what?
W: I don’t know.
W: Maybe I need a hobby.
M: Well, what do you like to do?
W: I love to dance. I’d like to study modern dance.
M: Then you should take a class.
W: Good idea. By doing this, I can do something fun as well as meeting other people.
M: That’s right.
Text9:W: Hello San Felis Hotel. May I help you?
M: Yes, I’d like to book a room please, starting from March 23, three nights.
W: What kind of room would you like sir? Single or double?
M: Well, we have two people so the latter is better and I’d appreciate it if you could give me a south facing room and
with a view over the lake.
W: Certainly sir. I’ll just check what we have. Yes, we have a room on the fourth floor that meets your requirements.
M: Fine. How much is the charge per night?
W: It’s eighty euros per night.
M: That’s fine.
W: Who’s the booking for please, sir?
M: Mr. and Mrs. Ryefield, that’s RYEFIELD.
W: Okay, now please take note of this number 7576385. We need to confirm it at check in. Thank you for choosing
San Felis Hotel, and have a nice day. Goodbye.
Text10:M: This is Kim Steven with your local weather report. Snow is expected to start early Friday evening
and stop before midnight. Roads will be icy until late Saturday morning, as there will be a strong wind blowing from
