W:Janet Pearson.
M:Well,I’m afraid I need a lot of practice before I can play before audience.
W:Don’t worry about that.Miss Pearson will teach you if necessary.
M:Then I think I can have a try.

W:You see?You forgot!That’s why I didn’t phone.

W:Well,that’s what I’m calling about.You see,I’ve decided to look for a new place.
M:Oh,what’s the problem with your place now?W:It’s a little far from campus,and the long journey is just killing me.Do you think you could help? I thought you
might know more about the housing situation near the university.
M:All right.So,what kind of place are you looking for?
W:Well,I’d like to share an apartment with one or two roommates. And it should be within walking distance of
school.
M:Okay,what’s your budget like? I mean how much do you want to spend on rent?
W:Uh,somewhere under $200 a month,and I’d prefer to rent a furnished apartment.
M:Um…And anything else?
W:Yeah,I need a parking space.
M:Well, I know there’s an apartment around the corner.I’ll go there on my way to class today.
W:Hey,thanks a lot.
M:No problem.

W:I work as a dentist.Usually I am pretty busy.On Mondays,I don’t go to work until late in the afternoon,so I have
time to spend most of the day washing my clothes, shopping and doing my banking.I leave for work around four
o’clock in the afternoon,and work from five to nine pm.On Tuesdays,I wake up at six thirty am and leave for work
at seven thirty.My first patient is scheduled for eight fifteen.I treat each patient for about forty-five minutes.Lunch
break is from twelve thirty to one thirty.I finish up at five pm and get home at around six pm. Wednesdays start an
hour earlier, for I see my first patient at seven am.I also finish early on Wednesdays at twelve noon.Thursdays are
the same as Tuesdays.Fridays are another early start.I wake up at five thirty am.I leave the house at six thirty and
finish with my last patient at three o’clock in the afternoon.I like to finish early on Fridays.That is a typical
workweek for me.
