Dear Fred,
I hope this email finds you well. I want to share with you an incredible experience I had last
weekend -- I visited a local art exhibition that was truly inspiring.
The exhibition showcased a diverse range of artworks, from traditional paintings to modern
installations, even interactive art pieces. I was particularly spellbound by a series of abstract
artworks that challenged my concept of art. Walking through the gallery, I felt a sense of awe and
connection with the artists’ innovation. It was such a day that it left me with a deep
appreciation for the power of art to arouse emotions and thoughts.
I can’t wait to explore more exhibitions and maybe even try my hand at painting soon.
How have you been? I’d love to hear about any interesting experiences you’ve had lately.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节
However, the third lane was a different story. As the old woman progressed further
into the road, a speeding car approached. The driver had not noticed her until the very
last moment. With a sudden wave of fear, the old woman’s hold on the bucket loosened,
and the apples scattered(散落) in all directions. The car made a sudden stop, and the
driver’s heart pounded in his chest as he realized how close he had come to a terrible
accident.
Seeing the almost hit woman and the scattered apples, the first two drivers rushed
out of their cars. Among the growing traffic buildup, the third driver got out car
immediately to join them. Their hands move quickly to collect each one. The rush of
traffic seemed to slow as onlookers caught sight of the scene, their impatience
momentarily forgotten. Eventually, all the apples were collected, and the three drivers
helped the old lady to her feet. With a supportive arm on either side, she made her way
back to the safety of the side walk. Tears welled up in her grateful eyes as she looked at
the strangers who had come to her aid. But she had nothing but her bucket of apples to
offer as a gesture of her appreciation.
