The National Eye Care Day falls on 6 June each year to remind us of the necessity of caring
our eyes.
No one can deny the fact that eyes are extremely important to us. Eyes are the windows for us
to see the world. Without good eyesight, we are bound to have a limited life experience. Therefore,
it is necessary for us to care our eyes. First of all, do eye exercise, take a rest or go outside after
studying or watching screens for a long time, which relaxes our eyes and avoids eye exhaustion.
Besides, we ought to have our eyes examined regularly to seek professional advice.
Living a happy life begins by caring our eyes. Let’s take action now.

Eddie didn’t mind that I didn’t return his love. He seemed happy just to be with me. He
even listened patiently when I told him about Paco. Later, I found him snuggled up in Paco’s bed
that I’d hidden away. One evening, when I was watching TV, I held Paco’s collar in my hand for
comfort. Eddie, as usual, was right beside me. He sniffed the collar and tried to bury his flat face
into it, as if trying to say, “I’m your dog.”
Soon , it was hard for me to imagine a life without Eddie . Whenever I sat on the sofa to
read or watch TV, it wouldn’t feel right without Eddie snuggling close, his little front legs next to
mine, as if to confirm we belonged together. I grew to love his face, his energy and his company. I
was grateful for every minute I had with him. Never again would I push away love because I was
afraid of loss. Eddie had taught me love was fearless and asked nothing in return. I love you,
Eddie. Thank you for choosing me.
