Dear Teachers, Fellow Students, and Host Family,
As my exchange year concludes, I reflect on the challenges that have shaped me. Adapting to a new culture
and overcoming language barriers were demanding tasks. Yet, with your support, I've grown, learned to navigate
life here, and even taught Laura to cook my stir-fried tomatoes and eggs!
I'm grateful for the lessons in both business and cultural exchange. Your encouragement has been my
strength. As I return home, I carry the ambition to build bridges between us. Thank you for an unforgettable year.

Once upon a time in a small village in ancient China, there lived a young man named Kuang Heng. He had
a great thirst for knowledge, but his family was too poor to afford a lamp for him to study at night.
One evening, as he sat in the dark, he noticed a faint glow of light seeping through a crack in the wall, which
came from the lamp of his neighbor. Kuang Heng’s eyes lit up with an idea. He carefully dug a small hole in the
wall, just large enough to let in a beam of light. From that day forward, Kuang Heng would huddle by the hole in
the wall, using the stolen light to read his books and study late into the night. In this way, he taught himself manyancient classic books.
The story of Kuang Heng has been passed down through generations, reminding us all that where there is a
will, there is always a way to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.
