ment, but we are growing all the time.
W: That sounds interesting. I'm British actually, and I came to Washing-
ton about three months ago. I'm looking for ways to meet people. Er, what kinds
of events do you organize?
M: Well, we have social get-togethers, and sports events, and we also
have language evenings.
W: Could you tell me something about the language evenings?
M: Yes. Every day except Thursday we have a language evening. People
can come and practice their languages-you know, over a drink or something.
We have different languages on different evenings. Mon-day-Spanish; Tuesday-
Italian; Wednesday-German; and Friday-French. On Thursday we usually have a
meal in a restaurant for anyone who wants to come.
W: Well, that sounds great. I really need to practice my French.
M: OK. Well, if you can just give me your name and address, I'll send
you the form and some more information. If you join now you can have the
first month free.

It＇s known to all that as students at high school, we＇re full of pres-

As for me, my favorite relaxing way is to listen to music. Surprisingly,
when I am lost in the music, I feel a sense of pleasure and peace. Music
does stimulate my thinking ability and refresh my memory. As a result, I

－有效地使用了语句间的连接成分, 使所续写短文结构紧凑。
第四档（16～20）
－与所给短文融洽度较高, 与所提供各段落开头语衔接较为合理。
－内容比较丰富。
－所使用语法结构和词汇较为丰富、准确, 可能有些许错误, 但不影响意义
表达。
－比较有效地使用了语句间的连接成分, 使所续写的短文结构紧凑。
第三档（11～15）
－与所给短文关系较为密切, 与所提供各段落开头语有一定程度的衔接。
