六、Teaching Procedures

Step 2: Presentation (5 minutes)
1. Present the passage in 2a on the screen and ask students to read it silently.
2. Ask students to complete the passage with the correct forms of the words in
brackets individually.
3. Check the answers together and explain the usage of the present continuous
tense.
Step 3: Practice (10 minutes)
1. Ask students to work in pairs. One student describes a weather condition and the
other student acts it out using gestures and expressions.
2. Invite some pairs to perform in front of the class and have the other students
guess the weather.
Step 4: Reading Comprehension (10 minutes)
1. Have students read the passage in 2a again and answer the following questions:
What is the weather like today?
How is the wind blowing?
Why is the man in the street angry?
2. Check the answers and encourage students to retell the passage.
