一、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标
学生能够理解并正确运用与天气和旅行感受相关的词汇和句型，如：
mountain, cloudy, sunny, tired, in high spirits 等。
学生能够读懂 Helen 和 Peter 关于登山旅行的帖子，并完成相关的阅读
任务。
学生能够运用特殊疑问词（why, who, how, where, what）进行提问和回
答。
2. 学习能力目标
通过阅读和完成任务，培养学生的阅读理解和信息提取能力。
引导学生学会通过上下文猜测生词的含义，提高自主学习能力。

四、教学过程
（一）Warming up（5 minutes）
1. Greet the students and have a free talk about the weather today.
T: Good morning, class! How's the weather today?
Ss: It's sunny/cloudy/windy...
T: Do you like this kind of weather? Why or why not?
2. Show some pictures of beautiful mountains and ask students if they have ever
climbed a mountain.
T: Look at these pictures. They are mountains. Have you ever climbed a
mountain?
Ss: Yes/No.
T: How do you feel when you climb a mountain?
（二）Pre-reading（5 minutes）
1. Present the title of the passage: "How do we feel about the weather?" and ask
students to predict what the passage might be about.
T: Today we are going to read a passage about climbing a mountain. What do
you think you can see, hear, or feel when you climb a mountain? Let's have a guess.
Ss: Maybe we can see beautiful scenery, hear the sound of birds, or feel tired.
2. Teach some new words and phrases related to the passage, such as "rest area", "in
high spirits", "make good progress", "magical place".
（三）While-reading（20 minutes）
1. Fast reading
Ask students to read the posts by Helen and Peter quickly and answer the
question: Are they visiting the same place?
Ss: Yes, they are visiting Mount Huangshan.
2. Careful reading
Ask students to read the posts carefully and complete the table on the
blackboard.

3. Group discussion
Divide the students into groups of four and ask them to discuss the following

Do they feel the same about the trip? Why or why not?
Who enjoys the experience more? Why do you think so?
How do you think Helen and Peter will feel about the trip in the future?
After the discussion, ask some groups to share their ideas.
（四）Post-reading（10 minutes）
1. Complete the exercises
Ask students to complete 1c and 1d in the textbook.
Check the answers together.
2. Role-play
Ask two students to act as Helen and Peter and retell their trip.
Other students listen carefully and give comments.
（五）Summary（3 minutes）
1. Summarize the main content of the passage and the key points of language.
T: Today we read the posts by Helen and Peter about their trip to Mount
Huangshan. We know that they have different feelings about the trip. Helen enjoys it
although it's hard, while Peter doesn't like it at first but feels good at the end. We also
learned some new words and expressions.
2. Encourage students to share their feelings about the passage.
T: What do you think of their trip? What can we learn from it?
（六）Homework（2 minutes）
Read the passage again and try to retell it to your parents.
