3. Analyze the example play
Show the example play “The Fisherman and the Genie” on the screen.
Guide students to analyze the elements of the play, such as scenes,
characters, dialogues, and the use of past tense.
(三)Group Work - Writing the Play (10 minutes)
1. Distribute worksheets
Hand out worksheets with guiding questions to each group.
The questions include: What happens in the scenes? Where do they take
place? How many characters are there in each scene? Who will be the narrator and
who will play each character? What will the characters say? How will they say it?
2. Start writing
Students work together in groups to write their short play based on the
chosen story and the guiding questions.
Circulate around the classroom to offer help and guidance when needed.

1. Prepare for the performance
Each group rehearses their play and decides on the narrator and actors.
