五、Teaching Procedure
Step 1: Warming up (5 minutes)

most about it.
2. Show some pictures of different places (such as a factory, zoo, museum, etc.) and
ask students to guess where they are.
Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes)
1. Play the audio of 2a for the first time. Students just listen and try to get the main
idea.
2. Play the audio again. Students listen and fill in the blanks with the correct
adjectives and words.
Check the answers together and explain the key points and difficult points.
3. Present the summary of the conversation in 2c on the PPT. Students read it
together and understand the cleaning process of the wastewater plant.
Step 3: Practice (10 minutes)
1. Play the audio of 2a for the third time. Students listen and pay attention to the
pronunciation of "was", "wasn't", "did", and "didn't".
2. Ask students to role-play the conversation in pairs. One acts as Helen and the
other acts as Fu Xing. Encourage them to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
3. Invite several pairs to perform in front of the class and give positive feedback.
Step 4: Production (15 minutes)
1. Show some pictures of different places (such as a theatre, factory, zoo, museum,
etc.) on the PPT and ask students to choose one place they want to talk about.
2. Students work in pairs and have a conversation about a school trip they took to
the chosen place.
Use the sentence patterns: "How was your school trip?" and "It was... Where
did you go?"
3. Circulate around the classroom to provide guidance and support.
4. Invite several pairs to share their conversations with the whole class.
Step 5: Summary and Homework (5 minutes)
1. Summarize the key points of this lesson, including vocabulary, sentence patterns,
