一、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标

二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点
掌握与运动习惯相关的词汇和句型,如:favourite, sport, exercise, reason,
how often 等。

三、教学方法
1. 任务驱动教学法:通过布置小组任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中学习和
运用语言。

用。
3. 合作学习法:组织学生进行小组合作,共同完成调查和报告,培养合作精

(一)Warming-up (5 minutes)
1. Greetings and free talk
Begin the class by greeting the students and having a short conversation about
their weekend activities.
Ask some questions like: "Did you do any exercise last weekend?" "What kind
of exercise did you do?"
2. Lead-in
Show some pictures of different sports and exercises on the PPT, such as
basketball, tennis, running, swimming, etc.
Ask students to name the sports and exercises they see and talk about which
one they like best and why.
(二)Presentation (10 minutes)
1. Present the target language
Write the questions on the blackboard: "What sport or exercise do you do most
often? Why do you like it? How often do you do it?"
Explain the meaning and usage of the key words and phrases: "favourite, sport,
exercise, reason, how often" with examples and gestures.
Have students repeat the questions after the teacher to practice pronunciation.
2. Model the dialogue
Invite a student to come to the front and have a short conversation with the
teacher as a model.
T: What sport or exercise do you do most often?
S: I play basketball most often.
T: Why do you like it?
S: Because it's fun and good exercise.
T: How often do you do it?
S: Twice a week.
(三)Group work (15 minutes)
1. Divide the students into groups
Divide the class into groups of four or five. Make sure each group has students
with different preferences for sports and exercises.
2. Group discussion and note-taking
Hand out the table to each group and ask them to take turns to ask and answer
the questions. One student should be responsible for taking notes in the table.
Circulate around the classroom to monitor and offer help if needed.

After the discussion, each group should write a brief report based on the
information they collected. Encourage them to use the sentence patterns they have
learned.
(四)Presentation and comparison (10 minutes)
1. Group presentations
Invite each group to send a representative to present their report to the class.
The other students should listen carefully.
2. Comparison and discussion
After all the groups have presented, lead the students to compare the reports
and find out which is the most popular sport or exercise and why.
Have a class discussion and encourage students to express their opinions
freely.
(五)Summary and Homework (5 minutes)
1. Summary
Review the key points of this lesson, including the target language and the
steps of conducting a survey and writing a report.
Emphasize the importance of doing exercise to keep fit.
2. Homework
Ask students to write a composition about their own exercise habits and the
benefits of exercise.
Prepare for a small debate in the next class on the topic "Which is better,
indoor exercise or outdoor exercise?"
