Step 1 Warming up
Guess game
step 1: T thinks of one S in his / her mind and tells everyone the gender of
the S.
Step 2: Ss ask questions about the chosen one using the sentence structure
“Did he / she use to ...?”
Step 3: T can only answer the questions using “yes” or “no”.
Step 4: Ss guess who he / she is.
(Tip: T can let Ss know that a person may have a lot of change
with the time passing by.)

Show and explain the instruction about the writing task to Ss.
Encourage Ss to write two paragraphs. Tell Ss that they can
incorporate the three changes from 3a but they can also include
more changes to make their piece more interesting.
(Tip: T can show Ss the sample writing to give them more idea.)
Post-writing
Divide Ss into several groups, ask Ss to read their passages in
the group one by one. Ask each group to vote for the best
passage, then invite the S who wrote the “best passage” to read
his/her passage for the class.

in the box.

In the last period of the unit, we pay enough attention to writing practice.
Try to get the students to use what they have learned in the unit. The
teacher should help the students to sum up all the words and expressions
