单元写作小专题&Section B(3a～3b)
【单元写作目标】
能简单介绍不同国家的人们见面时的礼仪习俗及日常生活中的习俗。
1. 能用“① you are supposed/expected to do…② it's polite/impolite/rude/important
to do…③you have to ”等句型阐述各种礼仪；
2. 能用 “if/when you…，you should/are supposed/expected to do…”表达各种情
境下人们该注意的礼仪或习俗；
3. 写作微技能:写作中运用不同的句式表达，体现语言的丰富性。
一、语言积累
(一) Greetings:根据句意及首字母提示完成句子，并归纳写作目标中的句型。
1. It is polite to b________ to each other when you g________ people in Korea.

(二)Table manners:根据所给的首字母或汉语提示完成下列句子。

One possible version：
Dear Cindy，
You must be excited about coming to China soon. It is helpful to learn as
many of the
customs in China as possible. These basic manners will help you enjoy staying in
China.
First of all，let me give you some suggestions about visiting the Chinese people. When
you meet the Chinese people for the first time，you are supposed to shake hands. You
shouldn't kiss them. It's polite to smile and say hello to them. You should knock on the door
before entering the room. And it's rude to leave without saying goodbye. You are expected
to
bring a small gift if you visit your friend for the first time. It's polite to do so. It's polite to
callfirst if you want to visit your friend.
Then，it is helpful to learn as many of the table manners as possible. It's polite to wait
till
everyone is at the table. And you are not supposed to use your chopsticks to hit an empty
bowl.
You shouldn't stick the chopsticks into the food. It's very impolite to point at others with
your chopsticks. It is also rude to speak with your mouth full of food. If you know the
manners, I think you'll enjoy yourself in China.
When you go to China，you had better remember the famous saying：When in Rome，
do as the Romans do. Best wishes!
