Many people believe that being busy always leads to high productivity. However, a recent study suggests that this is not necessarily the case. Researchers followed a group of office workers for three months and found that those who reported being busy for long hours did not necessarily complete more important or high-quality work. In fact, some spent much of their time dealing with emails, attending meetings and handling minor tasks.

The researchers also found that workers who planned their time carefully, focused on key tasks and took regular breaks tended to achieve better results. They worked fewer hours on average, but their work was more efficient and had a greater impact. The study suggests that productivity is more closely related to how people use their time rather than how long they work.

What can be inferred from the passage?

A. Busy people usually complete more work than others.

B. Feeling busy is the same as being productive.

C. Managing time well is more important than working long hours.

D. All office workers should work fewer hours.

原文说 did not necessarily complete more important or high-quality work(未必完成更多重要或高质量的工作),与A的结论不符。

① 偷换范围:some / many / tend to → all / every / always。

② 偷换程度:may / can / not necessarily → must / certainly / never。

圈出 all、only、always、must、some、may 等限定词。

A study of smartphone use found that students who used their phones frequently for social media were more likely to feel anxious. The researchers also noted that moderate use of phones for learning purposes, such as watching educational videos or using language apps, could have positive effects on students’ academic performance.

What can be inferred from the passage?

A. All smartphone use leads to anxiety.

B. Social media use may increase anxiety.

C. Smartphones should be completely banned at school.

D. Using language apps always improves grades.

答案:B。more likely to feel anxious
