21. D 【解析】 Bogdan Budnik 的建议明确提到“Nothing is impossible.”“Don't be disappointed if
reviewersdon’ believe in your work, it’ a better reason to prove them wrong”,意为坚持不懈。
22. A 【解析】 Jie Ji 强调“Stay curious and persistent”(保持好奇与坚持), Katie Lyon 呼吁“Don’ t be
24. D 【解析】根据原文“a kind of digital clone of my personality”(一种我的人格的数字克隆体),大语言模
AI(mirroring the author’ s characteristics)。A 项“made a
A week after my interview, I met my generative
25. A 【解析】原文提到 AI 编造尴尬故事(“made up a story”),A项“made false assumptions”指 AI 虚构故
事;B 项“relied on provided details.”
26. B 【解析】作者因 AI 的回答与其私人日记中的思考高度一致而停顿(“so closely echoed the themes I’ dexpress… in my
journal”)。A项“relieved stress”是结果而非直接原因;C项“novel and wise insights”过度引申,强调了 AI新颖的回答让
27. D 【解析】作者从拒绝生成式 AI 到承认自己自大(“realized that I might be rudely big-headed”),”Doubting initially,
yet realizing his own prejudice”(一开始怀疑,然而意识到自己的成见)符合文意。;A项“resistant throughout”忽
28. B 【解析】段落1提到“Turning back the clock can be complicated”,结合后文关于修复艺术品需复杂科学
29. A 【解析】段落 2 指出传统方法“remove a tiny piece of paint from an artwork”(取小片颜料)是“invasive”,而新技术“less
invasive”。
30. C 【解析】段落 3 明确提到专家从关注材料和形状转向“culture from which they originated”,强调文
C 项“cultural origins and values”直接对应这一转变;A 项“Modern technologies forrestoration.”和
B 项“The composition of artistic materials.”
32. C 【解析】原文指出“…HeH⁺, a molecule that scientists believe played a huge role in cooling theUniverse enough so
that the molecular clouds could form the seeds of baby stars”,它在让宇宙足够冷却方面发挥了巨大作用,使得分
The rate at
whichthe reaction took place remained steady, regardless of the temperature”)。
下活性降低)和选项C(温度是它稳定反应的关键因素)均与实验结论矛盾;D未被提及。
34. D 【解析】引用 Kreck el 的话,目的是强调 HeH⁺的作用远超预期(“appear to have been far moreimportant for
chemistry in the early Universe than previously assumed”)。
reactions of HeH⁺⋯ explaining some of the earliest processes that gave rise to the Universe as weknow it today”)。
36. C 【解析】上文内容引入文章背景, “it’ s easy to reconnect with what we love about the natural world.”,夏天适合享
受户外;本空下句内容又说到“It’ s in our rivers, lakes, forests, beaches— and in ourpackaging, and habits.”
38. F 【解析】空后说到“You don’ t need to wait for an organized event”,意思是不必非要参加大型活动来参与,因此

所以选择A项 money;D 项 ask for mercy 请求宽恕,不符合文意。
A项无辜
53. B 【解析】从后文 we expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments 可知,这里期望的是智慧,因此选择
B项。
beloaded
“whose”。
谓一致, has gained。

比较级“healthier”。

Dear Jamie,
I'm sorry to learn that you are currently struggling with your Chinese learning and find it challenging to
fulfill the final exam paper. Worried as I am, I'm afraid I couldn't just do it for you.(开头陈述写作背景,用
I know exactly how it feels when the final is around the corner, and you may find yourself insecure and
incompetent owing to the excessive stress. In fact, I myself sometimes suffer from this kind of panic attack
before exams as well.(站在对方角度换位思考,表达理解) To me, listening to some music and having a talk
with my teacher will always help.(动名词作主语,提出建议) Plus, I'm convinced that the task is designed to
evaluate your grasp of the language so that the teacher could make proper adjustment in teaching based on your
performance. Thus, honest feedback is necessary.

After breakfast, Tessa phoned her best friends, Sarah and Andrew.“Meet me at the playground in fifteen minutes,” she told them. Having
arrived at the playground, Tessa found her friends already waiting there and grinned at the sight of her. She then told them everything about Old
Man Winter.“Everyone deserves to be remembered and accompanied by on their birthdays! Especially the best Old Man Winter who gave us
plenty of joyful moments” Tessa said in a thrilled tone.“Maybe we can celebrate it by making a snow birthday cake for him” They all agreed
with the least hesitation.
The three friends soon got to work. Sarah pushed all of the snow off the slide and piled it in the center of the playground while Andrew
brushed the snow from the trees and added it to the pile. For decoration,Tessa stuck pine cones around the edges, and sprinkled red berries on
the sides. Soon they were finished with a snow cake almost half as tall as Tessa. After they finished pushing the stick-candles into the top of the
snow cake, they all sang“Happy Birthday” to Old Man Winter.“I bet he will be coming back next year” Tessa closed her eyes to make a wish for
him—a wish for lots of snow——— when a single sparkling snowflake floated down from a cloud and, so softly, kissed Tessa on the tip of her
nose.

Text 1
W: Excuse me. I'm going to the Central Park and I' ve been waiting for half an hour here. Is the bus coming?
M: I don't think so, but you may try the subway Line 3. I'm heading there right now. Why don't you come with me?
W: That couldn't be better. Thank you!
Text 2
W: What's so funny, Jack?
M: Oh, nothing. I was just practicing my fake laugh. My agent got me a role as a positive guy who would see the silver
lining in everything. Isn't it terrific?
Text 3
W: Oh my goodness! My computer is dead!
M: You' ve saved the files already, right?
W: Yeah, but I'm worried I would miss the deadline for tomorrow's paper without it now.
Text 4
M: Good evening, Madam. How can I help you?
W: Good evening. I'd like a room for two for tonight.
M: Ok. Just for one night?
W: Two nights, please. I' ll be checking out on Thursday.
Text 5
W: Did you go to the fashion show last night, Kevin?
M: Nah, I had my hands full in the laboratory. But I intend to go tonight with my girlfriend. How do you find it? Is it
good?
W: I love it! I' ve finally seen Michelle's piece on a model. It was really mind-blowing beautiful.
Text 6
M: Can you get access to the Internet? I can't connect to the office Wi-Fi.
W: Yes, mine works fine. Are you connecting to the right one? It's KKW.
M: Yes. That's the one I am trying. But it keeps saying" Connection failed" after I entered the password.
W: Let me have a look. Oh, the first letter is capital L. You may try again now.
M: Oh yeah. You are right! It's working now. Thank you!
Text 7
M: Hum… What smells so good?
W: Dinner is ready, honey. Come and taste if you like it.
M: Wow! It looks so amazing What's in there?
W: Well. The main ingredients are grilled beef, stewed onions and potatoes. It came from my mom's recipe.
W: Sounds ordinary. But it really smells different than usual!
M: That's because I add some of my secret ingredient— smoked green pepper! That's where you get the strong smoky touch
in your mouth.
M: No wonder it has richer flavour than the one we tried before. You are so gifted! You should have accepted that chef
offer from Johnny's last year.
W: It's different when you are cooking out of pure passion instead of just taking it as a job. I never thought it was a
waste.
M: You are right. Maybe it's for the best.
Text 8
M: Check this out. The schools in Japan are trying a new program.
W: Really? What's that?
M: They have equipped their new school desks with bike pedals, allowing the students to do some light exercise even
W: Cool! But I imagine it would be hard for the teachers to manage class.
M: On the contrary, it is said that it actually helps with the students' attention in class and it also solves the problem of some
over-energetic students who tend to leave their desks during class.
W: That's amazing! Although it's on a trial basis, I'm looking forward to it already! We teenagers do need exercise more. Being over-wight poses
numerous problems on children's health.
M: You are right. Should we forward this news to Mr. Green? He will definitely like the idea as well.
W: Why not just write a letter and put it in the Principal’ s suggestion box? I’ m sure he will read it and do something about it.
M: Great idea!
Text 9
M: Hey, did you watch Yu Hua’ s interview in The Great Writers last night?
W: No, I haven't. Though I am a big fan of his works! I' ve read most of his works, such as Chronicle of aBlood Merchant, To live, Brothers and
Cries in the Drizzle.
M: Wow!I haven't read the last one yet. I' ve got to add it to my reading list! Anyway, in the interview, he mentioned some stories of his early
life, the influence from his parents and even the way he creates a story.
W: Sounds fascinating! How does he do it exactly?
M: Well, he often starts with a single character in his mind, like a man born in a specific period, who carries a lot of typical features from his
time, and then builds the story around it.
W: It sounds super easy but all his works and characters seem much complicated.
M: Yes, that's because he believes in the magic of revision. He laughed about how his early drafts were usually full of mistakes, but he enjoyed
revising them because that's when the characters really come to life.
W: That makes sense. No wonder I always feel his stories so real, like you' re right there with the characters.
M: That's true. You know what, the host even joked that Yu Hua's personality surprised him when they first met.
W: Really? Why is that?
M: Well, as you know, Yu is famous for his serious literature works, while apparently, he also shows a playful side in front of the camera. It was
unexpected and charming.
W: Haha, I can hardly imagine it. I got to watch it myself.
M: Yes, you should. You won't regret it.
Text 10
We tend to assume that excessive screen time is primarily a problem among children. It's common to see young kids spending hours
watching cartoons on smartphones, while teenagers often prefer immersing themselves in video games or blogging on the internet rather than
sharing details about their day face-to-face.However, there's another group that finds it hard to put down their cellphones: baby boomers——
those born between 1946 and 1964. Although they adopted mobile phones later in life, they embraced the technology quickly. A recent study
revealed that two-thirds of boomers own a smartphone, and approximately 60% are active on social media platforms. We surveyed over a hundred
individuals born in the 1980s regarding their parents' mobile usage. Nearly half reported that their parents are addicted to their devices. “My
parents often watch short videos on their phones with the sound on full volume,” remarked Earl Twist, who lives inTexas with his family. It's
possible that grandparents may have learned some digital habits from their own children and grandchildren. “Although the awkward truth in our
house is that my parents are far better at balancing device use and family time than my wife and I are,” admits Phillip White, a father of two
fromFlorida. Although his parents regularly use their phones and computers, they remain fully engaged with the family when together.
