We are to take the entrance examination to university next June. In order to guarantee more
study time for Senior Three students, our school has intended to cut down on one PE class per
week to make time for math tests. However, I don’t think it is beneficial to us students.
As far as I am aware, taking exercise is of equal importance to Senior Three students. First of
all, doing sports contributes to building up our strength, thus increasing our resistance. Moreover,
we urgently need sports to help to enhance communication among students, avoiding some
psychological problems. In addition, by taking part in physical exercise, our minds can get relaxed
and refreshed.
In conclusion, I strongly suggest that our school should not reduce our PE class so as to
promote our all-round development.
