Character: Narrator, Mum, Mary, Pilot, Doctors (2) in the helicopter

Narrator: Mary and her mother are flying over the mountains in a small plane.
Mum: Mary, we will go to see Snow Mountain. It is very large and beautiful.
Mary: Mum, I can’t wait to make a snowman on the mountains.

Narrator: Suddenly there is a loud noise.
Mary: Oh no, Mum! What happened?
Mum: Be careful, Mary! Hold my hands! Don’t move.
Narrator: The plane has a problem! It crashes.

Narrator: Mary’s mother is hurt.
Mary: Mum! Mum! Are you OK?
Mum: Mary, I can’t move. I have pain in my arm and legs. We need help.
Mary: There is nobody here and we don’t have a phone. What can I do?

Narrator: Mary has a good idea.
Mary: I can make a SOS sign, maybe someone can see it!
Narrator: Mary writes SOS with her feet in the snow.

Narrator: A plane flies over the mountains. The pilot sees the SOS.
Pilot: What’s that? Oh, SOS. Somebody needs help.
(Make a phone call for help.) Hello, is this the Emergency Helicopter?
Doctors: Yes! This is Emergency Helicopter. Is there anyone who needs medical help?
Pilot: Yes, I think so. I see a big SOS in the snow.
Doctors: OK. We will go and help. (We are on the way.)

Narrator: The helicopter is coming.
Mary: Mum, look! It’s a helicopter.
Doctors: Are you alright?
Mary: My Mum hurt her arm and legs. She cannot move.
Doctors: Do not worry! We will take your mum to the hospital. You are a brave girl.
Narrator: Finally, the helicopter rescues Mary and her mother. They are safe.
End
