Unit 14 I remember meeting all of you in Grade 7. To learn to use "remember doing sth"and to understand the poem. Objectives To review Simple Past Tense, Present Perfect Tense, Simple Future Tense, Present Progressive. To review Objective Clause. Period 2 Procedure Read the translate the phrases into English. 学校调查 连续几次地 达标 休息 Lead-in 清楚地指示 对某人有耐心的 解决 指导某人做事 投入更多的努力 Presentation: Listen and tell what activities the writer can remember about his or her life in junior high. Activity 3a: Read the passage and answer the questions. 1.What kind of writing is this? 2.What is the main subject of this writing? 3.Who do you think the writer is? Step 1 Scan the poem and tell the stanzas that can match the main idea. Scan the poem(7-8 stanzas) and answer the following questions. Activity 3b: Read the poem again. Write the words that rhyme with the words below. Activity 3c: Have you experienced any of the following things? How did you feel? How does the writer feel about them? Summary: 1. A.我一定让自己很酷 B.我保持清新的模样 C.我极力保持冷静 Grammar Focus: Students read the sentences in Grammar Focus and summary the four tenses. 宾 语 从 句: 宾语从句即在复合句中充当宾语的句子。 学好宾语从句共有三关需要突破:连接词——语序——时态 连接词 从句来源 连接词 备注 that 口语或非正式文体中 陈述句 常省略 if / whether 一般疑问句 连 接 代 词 : who; whom; 在句中担任主、宾、 特殊疑问句 whose; which; what 等 定或表语。 连 接 副 词 : when; where; 在句中担任状语 why; how等 语 序 宾语从句用陈述语序。如: He is an honest boy. The teacher said. →The teacher said (that) he was an honest boy. Does he study hard?I wonder. →I wonder if/whether he studies hard. When did he live last night?I don’t know. →I don’t know when he lived last night. 时 态 ①主句是现在的时态,从句的时态可根据实际情况而定。如: I hear that she has written three books for children under fourteen. Mr Green says that he went to the mountain with his friends last month. ②主句是过去的某种时态, 从句一定要用过去的某种时态。 如: We didn’t know why she had missed the flight.He told me that he was watching a cartoon film at 10 o’clock this morning. 注意:如果宾语从句表述的是客观真理、自然现象等时,不管主句是什 么时态, 从句都要用一般现在时。如: He said that light travels much faster than sound.
