1) however副词,意为“不过,然而”,可用于句首、句中或句末。
e.g.My room is small, however, it’s comfortable.
【辨析】however与but
however 副词,“不过,然而”,表示转折时,与后面的句子用逗号
隔开
but 连词,“但是”,表示转折时,与后面的内容相连,不用逗
号隔开
e.g.However, they didn’t know this man was so bad.
I can’t help you, but you can ask him for help.
2)touching形容词,意为“动人的,感人的”。
英语中以-ing和-ed结尾的形容词用法辨析
1.以-ing结尾的动词变化而来的形容词主要用于说明事物,表示事物的性
质或特征,译为“令人…的”,常作定语。
2.以-ed结尾的动词变化而来的形容词通常用于说明人,描述人的心理活
动,译为“(人)…的”,常作表语。
九年级常用的以-ing或-ed结尾的形容词有:
interesting有趣的 interested 对......感兴趣的

miss动词,意为“思念,想念”。
► I miss my mother very much.我想念我妈妈了。
miss 作动词,还可表示“错过”后接名词、 代词或动词-ing 形式作宾
语。
►You need to go early, or you will miss the earliest train.
你得早点出发,否则将错过最早的火车。
►I’m sorry I missed your football match yesterday.
很抱歉我错过了你昨天的足球赛。
3.Whoever took this could live forever, and Hou Yi planned to take it with
Chang’e.无论谁喝了此药都能长生不老。后羿打算和嫦娥一起服用。
whoever作代词,意为“无论谁;不管什么人”,相当于 no matter who,
可引导让步状语从句或名词性从句。此处 whoever引导名性从句,作主
语,表达让步之意。

plan动词,意为“计划,规划”
常用短语:plan to do sth. 意为“计划做某事”。

what引导的感叹句:
1) What + a/ an + adj. + 可数单数(+主谓语)!
e.g. What a tall girl (she is)!
2) What + adj. + 可数名词复数(+主谓语)!
e.g. What beautiful dresses (these are)!
3) What + adj. + 不可数名词(+主谓语)!
e.g. What delicious milk (it is)!
how引导的感叹句:
How + adj. / adv. + 主语 + 谓语!
e.g. How happy the children are playing over there!

注意:一般情况下,以what和how开头的感 叹句可以相互转换,转换
后意义不变。
e.g. What a tall girl she is!
= How tall the girl is!
