5. The number of foreign players, including Chinese players, in the

1) the number of 表示 “......的数量”，做主语时，谓语动词用单数形
式。
eg: The number of the students in this class is 45.
这个班的学生数量为45人。
2) a number of 表示“许多、大量”，做主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。
eg: There are a number of ants on the ground.
地上有很多蚂蚁。

(1) look up to意为“钦佩;仰热”

achieve及物动词，意为“实现;完成”
►He could not achieve his dream.

come true “实现”，主语通常是梦想等
► I believe I can achieve my dream.

► I hope my dream will come true.
