Procedure
Read the new words and phrases.
Lead-in
Warm up:
Show Ss some pictures and then lead them to learn the key words、
phrases and the sentence pattern of this period:
Step 1
--How do you study English?
--I study English by V.+ing.
Ask the whole class to check the ways they study English in 1a. Then
Step 2 show some pictures to lead them to add other ways they sometimes
study.
Activity 1b-listening practice:
Step 3 Play the record once, students listen carefully and find out how these
students study for a test. While listening, write letters from 1a above.
Development:
After checking the answers, students try to answer the questions in
complete sentences:
1. How does Meiping study for a test?
Step 4 2. How does Peter study for a test?
3. How does Tony study for a test?
Pairwork:
Step 5 Students practice the sentence pattern freely within two minutes, theycan stand up and walk around to practice with any classmates they like,
then some pairs will show themselves in front of the whole class.
Activity 2a--listening practice:
Step 6 Listen and check the questions you hear.
Activity 2b--listening practice:

Listen again and match the answers to the questions.

Let students listen again, this time, they need to finish three ways the
