二、一般过去时的用法
1.表示过去某事或某时刻内发生的动作或存在的状态，常带有过去的时间状语。
含yesterday： the day before yesterday
含ago: three months ago; two years ago
含in: in 1992; in the 20th century
含last: last night; last week; last year
其他： this morning; at that time; just now

It was Mother's Day, but Mrs. white was a little unhappy. She was 500 kilometers away from her
parents. In the morning she phoned her mother to wish her a happy Mother's Day, and her mother told
her about the beautiful lilacs (丁香) in the yard(院子).
