第一节(满分15 分)
Friends in My Eyes
Good morning, everyone! Today, I would like to talk about the importance of friendship and the
necessary qualities of a friend.
Friends are the treasure of our lives, offering us support and laughter. They help us grow, face challenges
and celebrate our successes. But what makes a true friend? A good friend is loyal, honest and always there for
you. They listen to your problems, share your joys and stand by you through thick and thin. Friendship is a
bond that should be cherished. It takes time and effort to build and maintain a true friendship.
So let us value our friends and treasure the bond we share. Thank you for your listening!
第二节(满分25 分)
She realized that her parents were trying, and she should also make some efforts. She decided to prepare
breakfast for her family. She wanted to show them that she appreciated their efforts and was willing to
contribute to chores. Seeing what their daughter had done for them, Mom and Dad couldn't help smiling. Over
breakfast, Emily started a conversation politely, explaining her actions and feelings calmly. Her parents listened
carefully and talked about their concerns. After a peaceful and harmonious talk, Emily understood her parents
better and they agreed to give her more free time as long as she took good care of herself. The following hour
witnessed a happy family breakfast and their laughter.
Over the next few weeks, Emily noticed things changed amazingly. Her parents listened to her opinions
and took her suggestions seriously. Emily, in turn, made sure to keep her promises about being open and
honest with them. The atmosphere at home was filled with respect and understanding. Now, they have made
it a rule to have regular and honest communication every day.Enjoying the warm atmosphere, Emily is glad
that they have worked together to improve the relationship. She wants to offer the tips to all her friends who
are worried about family relationships— Put yourself in your parents' shoes and try to understand them; the
key to keeping peace is regular and honest communication.

And I was afraid of getting injured. So, I went bike riding.

Text 10
W: Good morning, everyone. This lesson is a part of our leadership series. Let me start by sharing a story
of Richard Rochester, one of the most successful businessmen in Britain.
Years ago, I was given the task of organizing a conference in the south of England. I chose a five star
hotel owned by Rochester as the venue. Susan, the receptionist, helped me arrange everything
perfectly. Once when we were chatting, I asked Susan if she'd ever met Mr.Rochester. She said yes.
Shortly after Mr. Rochester bought the hotel, he made an appointment to see the hotel manager. When
he arrived, the first person he met was Susan, who was cleaning the carpet. He chatted with Susan
for 30 minutes before keeping his appointment with the manager. He spent all day at the hotel, talking
with each member of the staff, from the top guy to the lady who cleaned the toilets. Six months later,
Mr. Rochester paid another visit. Susan had been promoted to receptionist, but he recognized her
immediately and addressed her by name. He even remembered that she had a little girl and what her
name was.
Now, I don't believe that Richard Rochester has that good a memory. He must have written a lot of
notes after his first visit and read them over again before that second visit. It's time consuming, but
it shows the importance he places on human relationships. I think that's one of the secrets of his
success
