Teaching aids: A tape recorder and pictures
Teaching procedure:
一、Organization.
1、The whole class sing some English songs.
2、Check the presentation of the class.
二、Revision
Talk about : What are you going to do this weekend ?
三、Presentation.
1、T: This weekend Ben and Lisa are going to Guangzhou for a vacation . How
are they going to Guangzhou ? Oh , They are going by bus . Let Ss guess the
meaning of“ by bus ” .
2、Show the picture and teach : by bus .
3、Use this way to teach : by plane, by ship , by train . And so more
4、Do you like Guangzhou ? OK . We’re going to Guangzhou this weekend . Show a
picture and ask Ss: How are you going to Guangzhou ?
5、Use this way to practice more .
6、Do pair work make ask and answer .
6、Read the Target and learn : stay in a hotel / stay with my aunt and uncle .
三、Drill.
1、Let them read Target after the tape.
2、Let them practice reading Target alone.
四、Consolidation.
1、Read the new phrases for several times .
2、Let them copy down these phrases one by twice.
3、Check whose handwriting is quickly and pretty.

4 、 Show out an example: May Day is coming. I’m going to Hong Kong
for vacation . How are you going to Hong kong , Gogo ? I’m going by bus.
5、Ss read the example and write “Who”, “Where”, “How” in the blank in Practice 2
6、According to the blank make dialogue like the example .
四、Activity.
1、Let Ss look at the blank and pay attention to the key points: Where to go ? /How to
go ? / What to do ?
2、Explain and teach some new places
3、Read out all the phrases .
4、Read the dialogues below the blank
5、Make another example with a student .
6、Have students do it in pairs , after that , ask some pairs to act .五、Homework.
Make more dialogues like Activity outside class and write down.
